A commissioned fan-fic collection design.
The idea of the entire publication, as well as the main piece in the book, is “a contemporary ‘Liaozhai’ (Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio) love story” — implying its somewhat supernatural, suspicious and sentimental characteristics, yet with a happy ending.
The original Chinese title translates as “White Is the Mung Bean, Red Is the Pomegranate”, thus the red-and-white palette. The shipping label design on the jacket was inspired by the author’s alias “NiceShot Delivery”.
